Confidence
There are some things that you just know. Confidence is one of those things. We know it when we see it. No there is no confidence behavior rather there are a number of behaviors that tell us that a person is confident. Most leaders I have known have exuded confidence. They were not arrogant, not cocky, just self assured confident in the direction they were going.
Behaviors that together say confident.
- smiling
- eye contact
- upright posture
- firm handshake
- clear voice patterns (no hesitance)
- laughter (not self conscious)
- Measured yet prompt response to questions
- easy clear explanations
- demonstrated empathy
